Batman Narrating: " Gotham City, my home. It's been six months since I started my crusade on the streets of Gotham. Every night I give this city a symbol of hope...and it's criminals a symbol to fear.
(Fade to Penguin's Iceberg lounge DOOR OPENING).
Oswald: Did you get the shipment?********
Crook: Uh...No boss. The Bat was there again. He was merciless, he took us out one by one...I was the only one who got away
Oswald: Very good.
Crook: Really? (confused)
Oswald: Yes. There seems to be a lack of motivation in our ranks. This Bat-Man seems to be making all of you very afraid. Is this about right?
Crook: You could say so.
Oswald: Good, so now that we have that cleared up. I believe it is time to make a strong showing that person you should be afraid of IS ME!
Gunshot noises can be heard in the empty club
(picks up the phone)
Oswald: The job didn't go well. (pause as other person speaks) It's been happening all summer. (pause) Okay, I'll bring him in.
(Fades to the Batcave COMPUTER NOISES).
Alfred: And how was your evening Master Bruce?
Bruce: I stopped a robbery at the docks. The shipment was of unknown chemicals headed to ACE. Everything was unmarked, even the employees don't know what it is yet.
Alfred: How did common criminals find out about it then.
Bruce: Probably a mob hit, someone must have tipped them off.
Alfred: And I suppose now it's time for the Batman to make a visit then.
Bruce: ACE should be heavily guarded after it was already almost stolen. If the mob is involved, they will probably have men on the inside.
(Transition to Iceberg Lounge The next day)
Oswald: Did you get him?
(Henchmen enter the room with Jack in hand)
Henchman: Yeah boss we got 'em.
Jack: Like I told your men, I'm done.
Oswald: Please Jack, may I call you Jack?
(Jack gives a grunt as he sits down)
Oswald: The Boss has been wanting to speak with you. Don't worry he will be quite brief.
(A speaker gets wheeled in with The Big Mans voice coming through the speaker)
The Boss: Mr. Napier, as I recall you use to work for Mr. Falcone.
Jack: (hostile tone) Yes, but like I said I don't do that anymore!
The Boss: I realize that. But I want to ask you to take care of one more job for us.
Jack: No way, I'm out of the game.
The Boss: I ask you to reconsider.
Jack: Why should I?
The Boss: If you do this simple task you will have enough money to leave Gotham and provide a new life for that wife of yours. Of course if you refuse...well I wouldn't get comfortable at that job of yours.
Jack: hmmm...where are we talking?
The Boss: Nothing complicated, there's a new experimental chemical at ACE. Needless to say we think your the man for the job.
Jack: Hmmm...
The Boss: Come on Jack, this is your chance to move on and restart your life. Just like you've always pictured.
Jack: One job and I'm done for good.
The Boss: Yes, now when shall we begin.
Jack: Not tonight. Security will be at peak with shipments coming in. Doing it tomorrow gives us time to organize.
The Boss: Good.
Oswald: Oh and to ensure your identity remain a secret...we have a disguise for you.
(Shifts to Batman)
Batman Narrator: I went to the chemical plant the next night. When I got there something seemed strange. It was all quiet and there wasn't any security to be seen. I went to the rooftop to get a better view. When I looked through the factory's skylight I saw six men on the catwalk.
(Crash through skylight)
Batman: We meet again Red Hood.
Red Hood: AH! (points gun) Whatever you are...uh...GET BACK OR I SHOOT!
Batman Narrator: I didn't stop, I just powered through.
Red Hood: (nervous) I said stop! Uh...I'm warning you.
Batman Narrator: As I got close I lunged a punch at him, but he avoided it. He looked unbalanced because he started to fall backwards over the bar.
Red Hood: (unbalanced sounds) Ahhh!
Batman Narrator: I lunged to try and grab him...but I was too late.
(Crooks leave with chemical)
Crooks: Let's get out of here!
Batman Narrator: I stood there for what felt like hours waiting to see if he would come up to the surface. He never did (grim). After a while I left to try and track down the others with him, still thinking about the man in the hood.
(Back to Iceberg Lounge Red Hood enters)
Crook: Here we got the stuff.
Oswald: Thank You. Did you get rid of Jack?
Crook: Yeah boss, he's gone for sure.
Oswald: Excellent and for your payment. (a couple gun shots with a silencer could be heard). Clean this up Butch.
(sound effect for Oswald picking up the phone.)
Oswald: We got the shipment.
Boss: Good, the buyer will be quite pleased.
